  9. «c5»Spo3 is actually the «c2»ONLY demoparty «c5»in Italy of *any* scene, this
  10.  meant that we also had people from other platforms attending like
  11.  Rigel^KIC from Linux scene or Gecco^Ind, Mig^S1, Rock^S1 from PC,
  12.   Surfing^Rj^Dms^Flt from PC/C64 ones (the latter being a real aficionado
  13.  of this party) and so on. Everyone at the party was italian but we had
  14.  many (most?) contributions from abroad showing the interest around this
  15.  happening.«»

  17.  The show started at 10:00 and local schools organized visits to watch
  18.  demos like they were going to a museum, teens showed much interest and
  19.  enjoyed the not-so-boring lesson silently, luckily enough they all left
  20.  before the scene-boozers came in or there would have been some trouble
  21.  with their teachers ;).«»

  23.  It was almost lunchtime when sceners and plain «c2»Amiga «c5»users entered the
  24.   partyplace after wandering up and down the town looking for it, there
  25.   was a reserved parking for us but none seemed to know and cars were
  26.   scattered quite far for a while, It was a mess to guide people to it.«»

  28.  At least we had an huge «c2»maxiscreen «c5»(one of the greatest I ever seen)
  29.   audio/video quality was above average and all promises in the invitation
  30.   fully kept (apart from hard disk throwing compo): no quakers, porn, or
  31.   LAN, a dream for every true scener? :D, best of all, relationship between
  32.   security and attenders was the more relaxed you can expect as we all knew
  33.   each others and troublemakers stayed home as SHOULD always be, anyone
  34.   ever saw what happens to major parties in northern Europe knows what I
  35.   mean.«»

  37.  Local TV arrived to film the event and interview the main organizer,
  38.  nobody seemed to care, quite strange for ego-stimulated sceners ;) ,
  39.  journalists instead stayed home and cut'n'pasted the official press
  40.  release without bothering to check what's up (mind it when you go to the
  41.  newsagent ;P ).«»

  43.  Compos begun just in the evening with greatest demos of every time
  44.  being shown on maxiscreen in the meantime, it was like going to cinema
  45.   also because of the darkness that surrounded anything most of the
  46.  duration of Spo3 since the morning. We saw releases from groups inactive
  47.  since lotsa time like «c2»Genesis and Morbid Visions «c5»and also from newcomers
  48.  like «c2»Trinity «c5»and it's finally a good news for the italian demoscene,
  49.  given the occasion it can show it's still alive even if heavily tied to
  50.  local environment.«»

  52.  Quality and quantity of releases was generally on the same trend of
  53.   previous editions, pixel artwork ruled the gfx compo (yeah!) with
  54.   «c2»Wade and Fusko «c5»being my favourites, mods compo was weaker IMHO with
  55.   Skizzo^LFS underrated as placement and demos/intros ranking from very
  56.   good to crap. Generally speaking oldskool influenced most of the work
  57.   shortly followed by fun stuff (if you're familiar with italian TV,
  58.   "Giulia" by Ezio will make you laugh quite loud, just to give an
  59.   example).«»

  61.  Votes were collected by nice girls and sceners were really happy to vote
  62.  this time ;D, well know «c2»Surfing^Rj «c5»tried to fake votes forgetting a
  63.  little detail, he wasn't competing at all! Holy booze, organizers had to
  64.  give him a "special prize" to keep him quiet, but you know ,he's a showman.«»

  66.  Shortly after midnight the event reached its end, everybody moved to a
  67.  local pub waiting for the station to open, judging from smiling faces
  68.  I can say that they liked very much the party, it was quite late and I
  69.  had to drive home before falling asleep.«»
